Departmental Analyst 9-P11
This position serves as the analyst responsible for CHAMPS and data warehouse reporting related to encounter and financial data. It conducts data extraction, validation, and analysis to evaluate completeness, accuracy, timeliness, trends, and anomalies across submitting entities. It applies analytical methods to large, complex datasets to produce actionable insights that support reporting, data quality monitoring, rate setting, and financial analysis. The role develops and executes queries and analytical processes for both routine and ad hoc reporting, producing summaries to inform internal decision-making and departmental priorities. It also collaborates with internal MDHHS teams and external Medicaid Health Plans to clarify reporting logic, interpret findings, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring consistent understanding and improving the reliability, usability, and integrity of encounter data used for operational, financial, and rate-setting purposes.

The physical location of this position is 400 S. Pine, Lansing MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.
