For this bid/project we are seeking a Depot Equipment Expert.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve depot equipment designs for compliance. Ensure codes, specs, RAMS, safety, and stakeholder requirements with interdisciplinary/interface checks.
  • Coordinate interfaces across all parties. Prepare/review/approve ICDs and interface pro-grammes for lifecycle integration.
  • Govern configuration management. Approve plans, manage design changes, and maintain documentation consistency.
  • Establish system assurance governance. Review and accept RAMS studies; integrate safety tasks with development, testing, and V&V.
  • Attend, witness, and supervise First Article Inspections (FAI) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for depot equipment, simulators, and rolling stock; review and approve related re-ports/documents before dispatch to site
  • Confirm and certify processes for performance verification and documentation are followed and meet defined criteria
  • Supervise software testing and integrated FAT (iFAT); review and approve related re-ports/documents
  • Review, approve, and manage Safety Verification Plans and Safety Verification Reports
  • Implement project certification processes, ensuring all steps of the EN50126 V Cycle are per-formed and documented
  • Review and accept testing, commissioning plans, Pass/Fail criteria for acceptance and inter-face tests between railway systems and depot equipment
  • Oversee interface testing in manufacturer’s facilities for system and rolling stock conformance
  • Supervise maintainability demonstration testing and trial operations in depots
  • Lead failure reporting and corrective action systems during testing and commissioning stages
  • Monitor site logistics and installation methodology, including safety and operational critical items
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and validation of depot equipment during installation and completion phases
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications, approved designs, codes, standards, and stakeholder requirements
  • Review and approve material and equipment approval requests for depot equipment
  • Assure operational readiness. Supervise demonstrations, trial operations, and verify function-al/operational requirements.
  • Manage asset handover. Deliver completed assets per procedures and stakeholder requirements

Qualifications:
  • University degree (preferably Master’s and/or Chartered Engineer status)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in managing design and/or construction of rail projects and in the relevant specific discipline
  • Experience in delivering High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects is mandatory
  • Must have held a similar role in at least one project of comparable size and complexity
  • Local Experience in Middle East and/or UAE project experience is advantageous
  • Fluent in spoken and written English ins mandatory; Arabic language skills would be an ad-vantage
  • Expertise in inspection, supervision, and acceptance of depot equipment, including factory acceptance, interface and integration tests, quality control, and safety/performance compliance documentation
  • Ability to review and approve testing and acceptance reports, confirming compliance with project requirements and safety standards
  • Experience overseeing installation methods, quality checks, and commissioning of depot equipment and subsystems
  • Knowledge of project management, particularly design review, construction supervision, inter-face management, quality assurance, testing & commissioning, and system integration
