Incumbent performs duties according to standard Department policies and guidelines with priorities primarily determined by supervisor and/or service needs of the public. Assignments are guided by following standard operating procedures or policy and procedural manuals.
Decisions are always determined by specific instructions or existing, well established policies and procedures. Errors in work are primarily detected or prevented through notification from other departments, agencies, or the public. Undetected errors could result in work delays in other departments.
Incumbent maintains frequent contact with co-workers, other County departments, Department of Local Government Finance, Property Tax Board of Appeals, and the public for purposes of exchanging and verifying information.
Incumbent reports directly to Harrison Township Chief Deputy.
Incumbent performs duties in a standard office environment and/or outdoors, involving expose to inclement weather conditions, and other hazards associated with on-site visits, such as walking on uneven terrain, and working in confined areas. Regular duties involve sitting/walking at will, lifting/carrying objects weighing less than 25 pounds, bending, reaching, crouching/kneeling, keyboarding, handling/grasping object, speaking clearly, and hearing sounds/commutations.
Incumbent occasionally travels out of town for continuing education classes, but not overnight.
