Law Graduate from HEC (Higher Education Commission) with 8 years of relevant experience and 3 years of Bar enrollment.
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide timely professional legal advice and opinions as required by the user departments of SSGC from time to time. The position is also responsible for preparing and reviewing contracts/agreements.
Job Responsibilities

Ensure to share the updates with senior management on amendments to various laws, rules, and regulations made by federal, provincial, and other statutory bodies from time to time.
Evaluate the probable effect of such amendments on SSGC operations and share the analysis including recommendations with senior management.

Advise on the queries and requests for clarifications on legal issues received from management and departmental users considering the applicable law, rules, and regulations.

Engage with the stakeholders and relevant departments through meetings/consultations to understand matters with legal implications.

Based on research, develop an appropriate draft/brief/reply/opinion/working paper stating the facts and opinions/views as required.

Study the drafts of impending legislation, evaluate the probable effect on SSGC, and advise the management on the possible steps to be taken to protect the company’s interests.

Review briefs/replies/cases etc.
prepared by junior legal staff and external counsel to ensure that the company’s viewpoint is correctly presented and its interest safeguarded and undertake due value addition for further processing and approvals.

Identify and assess risks under their management/ownership.

Develop and implement risk response strategies for the risks under their management.

Monitor risks and response strategies under their management.

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
