Deputy Chief Manager (Security)

Graduation with at least 15 years of experience, specifically as a retired Lt. Colonel or equivalent, who has formally served in the Armed Forces.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to manage Security Services operations to ensure the safety and security of SSGC transmission and distribution pipelines, and other office and operations-related facilities. The role involves not only the protection of physical assets but also the assurance of operational continuity. The role implements strategic planning, manage operational execution and coordination of security protocols across diverse facilities. Intelligence network development

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure security and protection of SSGC assets located in the area of responsibility through effective employment of available integral resources, out sourced security company resources and LEAs,
• Able to deal with the activities of CBA / local union staff and take measures in coordination with Geographical Head and IR Officials.
• Maintain effective liaison with the local intelligence as well as LEAs.
• Monitor the integral as well as outsourced security elements deployed in the AOR.
• Develop a local information network.
• Assist in Disconnection operations by effective coordination with rangers/ LEAs for provision of Security.
• Accompanying / Leading Disconnection Raids.
• Assist in Joint Industrial Load Surveys in Area of Responsibility.
• Manage the implementation of security policies, protocols and procedures in the assigned franchise area.
• Participate in the preparation of security plans and strategies to provide foolproof security for SSGC assets.
• Manage the operations, maintenance and effective working of security equipment including CCTV cameras, arms & ammunition and wireless communication sets.
• Check on a regular basis the security patrolling activities.
  
  

Monitor the safety and security of assets, machinery/equipment, premises/property and access points through surveillance equipment.

• Facilitate the raids planned by vigilance/counter gas theft operations teams on the basis of vigilance reports, evidences and intelligence reports to check and control any theft or illegal use of gas.
• Support SSGC teams involved in verification of meter readings to highlight any abnormalities or fluctuations.
• Review and provide inputs on reports of findings relating to incidents and security breaches.
  
  

Forwards the reports to supervisor.

• Manage the recruitment and training of the security officers and guards.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Enterprise Risk Management Framework enforced in the Company while performing job responsibilities in accordance with his assigned role.
• The individual shall ensure compliance to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
• Undertake any other task assigned by the supervisor.
