Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), State Procurement Office (SPO), is seeking a skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Procurement Officer to support the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry (ADCRR).
In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to manage and lead ADCRR’s strategic procurement initiatives. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the procurement team, providing direct guidance to staff, and ensuring all procurement activities align with the policies and procedures set by the State Procurement Office.
A key part of your responsibilities will be to assist the CPO with protest and claim decisions, monitor department solicitations to ensure deadlines are met, and provide internal stakeholders with the support they need to succeed. Additionally, you will play a critical role in strategic planning and helping the CPO with high-visibility projects identified by ADOA, ADCRR, or the Governor's Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic procurement professional to lead a dedicated team and make a significant impact on state-wide initiatives.
