The City of Terrytown is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Deputy Clerk to support daily municipal operations. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role.
Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and administrative support
- Maintain accurate records and city documentation
- Assist with the utility billing process, including account maintenance and payment tracking
- Support preparation of agendas and materials for council meetings
- Assist with city council meeting preparation and related administrative tasks
- Perform data entry and other office duties as needed
- Provide courteous and professional service to the public
- Other duties and responsibilities are subject to change
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with Canva preferred
- Familiarity with billing software
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
