Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- MBA (Marketing)/ Master's/ MS/ MPhil in English/ Brand Communication/ Science Communication from an HEC recognized University with 12 – 13 years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable:
- MBA / Master's/ MS/ MPhil in Public Relations/ Media Studies/ Journalism from an HEC recognized University with 15 or more years of experience in the relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Integrated Communications & Media Strategy
- Drive the development and implementation of a unified communications strategy that spans various publications, media promotions, digital channels, science communications, and institutional publications.
- Align all communication outputs to NUST's strategic brand and public relations goals.
- Oversee the development of press releases, seek approval of CA, and dissemination to media outlets.
- Monitor public sentiment and proactively manage any media crises with agility and consistency while keeping the superiors informed on latest updates.
2. Publications Oversight & Editorial
- Lead the production of strategic publications, reports, brochures, ensuring accuracy, alignment with brand tone, and measurable impact.
- Oversee research-based science communication narratives that make technical content accessible to general audiences.
- Maintain editorial and visual consistency across all formats in line with NUST’s brand identity.
3.. Digital Communications & Analytics
- Supervise all digital platforms (web, social media, email campaigns) ensuring timely updates, accessibility, and data-driven optimization.
- Generate performance analytics (SEO, engagement metrics, audience segmentation) to form content strategies and improve reach.
- Ensure digital integrity, compliance with defined policies, and use of accessible, user-first designs.
4. Cross-Stakeholder Engagement
- Align messaging for distinct stakeholder groups: prospective students, alumni, faculty, and partners.
- Create narrative frameworks that can be tailored across units while remaining unified in tone and impact.
5. Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing team across communications channels, Publications, and Science Comms.
- Identify HR gaps and propose capacity-building strategies (e.g., media training, science storytelling, social listening).
Coordinate inter-unit collaboration to break silos and foster cross-functional synergy in communications planning.

- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
