Deputy Director Digital Platforms

Job Purpose:

• The Deputy Director Digital Platforms is responsible for leading the design, development, and operation of Zong’s digital platforms that power customer engagement, intelligent decision-making, and precision marketing capabilities. This role oversees three core domains: Digital Convergence Platform & IOP, My Zong App (MZA) / Super App, and Intelligent Cockpit. The position ensures the organization leverages data, AI, and digital platforms to create seamless customer experiences, enable precision marketing, and support real-time decision-making across business functions. The role works closely with Marketing, Sales, Network, Customer Care, IT, and Data teams to transform enterprise data and AI capabilities into actionable digital products, applications, and business insights.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and operation of Zong’s Digital Convergence Platform and IOP, enabling reusable digital capabilities across applications.
• Ensure convergence services provide standardized APIs, SDKs, connectors, and shared components supporting internal and external digital platforms.
• Build and operate the IOP platform engine on top of the Data Middle Platform and AI services including tagging, segmentation, campaign engines, and channel orchestration.
• Enable Precision Marketing, Stock Base Operations, and digital customer journeys.
• Ensure standardized integration with operational systems through reusable services.
• Maintain platform reliability, performance, and security in coordination with IT Infrastructure, Data Operations, and Security teams.
• Lead the end-to-end development and evolution of My Zong App into a telecom Super App enriched with AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with the MZA Center in Marketing to gather business requirements and deliver digital features.
• Define and manage the MZA product roadmap and feature backlog.
• Design scalable front-end, back-end, and microservices architecture supporting millions of users.
• Enable Super App capabilities including mini-apps, partner integrations, digital payments, and marketplace services.
• Integrate Zong AI Assistant, personalization engines, and predictive insights.
• Ensure seamless integration with BSS, CRM, charging systems, network analytics, and Big Data platforms.
• Drive performance optimization, reliability, and continuous digital experience improvement.
• Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance for customer data and AI services.
• Lead development of an AI-powered Intelligent Cockpit platform providing real-time KPIs, alerts, and workflows. Design role-based cockpits for Sales, Network, Customer Care, Regional Teams, and Management.
• Develop dashboards and reports enabling monitoring of performance, market share, and profitability.
• Integrate enterprise data, analytics, and AI insights to deliver real-time recommendations.
• Implement alerting mechanisms for operational anomalies and business deviations.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and AI teams to ensure consistent KPIs and trusted data.
• Define and execute BI and analytics strategy aligned with digital transformation goals.
• Provide insights for churn, campaign performance, stock base management, and network quality.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Network, Customer Care, IT, and Data teams.
• Align digital platforms with enterprise data and AI strategies.
• Manage platform roadmaps, delivery timelines, and operational performance.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.

Work Experience:

• Minimum Experience: 10+ yrs. or above
