The position serves as the alter-ego and principal advisor to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Director of Total Force Pay, overseeing more than 2,100 employees in four locations with an assigned no-fail mission of paying millions of customers and leading the agency in worldwide finance and disbursing operations.

This position is in the Senior Executive Service (SES), a small elite group of top government leaders. SES members possess a diverse portfolio of experiences including strong skills to lead across organizations.
