Lincoln County is looking for a Deputy District Attorney (DDA 1, 2, or 3) to assist in representing the State of Oregon as a trial lawyer especially as it pertains to the Justice Reinvestment Act. The person in this role will also be responsible for providing legal advice and assistance to law enforcement agencies in investigations at all hours of the day and night. The role of Deputy District Attorney 2 or 3 will also advise, counsel, and conduct special training for Deputy District Attorneys and all law enforcement agencies.
$76,784.00 - $123,705.00 annually*

EDUCATION
DDA 1/2/3: Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from an accredited law school.
EXPERIENCEDDA1: None
DDA2: 2-3 years progressively difficult and complex experiences as a trial attorney.
DDA3: 4-5 years progressively difficult and complex experiences as a trial attorney.
LICENSES REQUIREDDDA1: Member of Oregon State Bar within 6 months of hire.
DDA2: Member of Oregon State Bar in good standing at time of hire.
DDA3: Member of Oregon State Bar in good standing at time of hire.
DDA 1/2/3: Oregon Driver's License required within 30 days of hire.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSDDA1: Experience as a law clerk or intern in a prosecutor's office.
DDA2: Experience in prosecutor's office.
DDA3: Experience in a prosecutor's office.
SUBSTITUTION NOTEDDA1: Oregon Certified Law student with ability to obtain acceptance into the Oregon State Bar within 12 months of hire; Supervised Practice Portfolio Examination (SPPE) provisional license.
