🏗️ Hiring: Deputy Executive Managing Officer (Deputy EMO) – Power Generation Project

📍 Hajr IPP, Saudi Arabia


Support the leadership of one of Saudi Arabia’s key power generation companies. As Deputy Executive Managing Officer (Deputy EMO) , you will work closely with the EMO to oversee the safe, compliant, and profitable operation of a large-scale power plant — ensuring strong performance across commercial, operational, and regulatory fronts.


What you’ll do:

  • Support the EMO in leading project company operations, ensuring full compliance with PPA, O&M, insurance, audit, and regulatory obligations.
  • Monitor the performance of the O&M contractor, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations in line with contractual KPIs.
  • Oversee enterprise risk management processes, identifying and mitigating risks that could affect project performance or reputation.
  • Work with the EMO, CFO, and CTO to develop strategic and operational business plans aligned with shareholder and lender requirements.
  • Act as the company’s representative with government authorities, regulators, and key stakeholders when required.
  • Manage relationships with insurers and brokers, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance with policy terms.
  • Provide oversight on organizational development, staff recruitment, and succession planning.
  • Drive compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) policies, leading initiatives that reinforce a culture of zero harm.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to annual business and performance targets.
  • Act as Acting EMO in the absence of the EMO, with delegated authority as assigned by the Board.


What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering , with a Business Management qualification preferred.
  • 10–12 years’ experience in power generation or utilities , including at least 3 years in senior management roles.
  • Strong understanding of IPP project structures, commercial contracts (PPA/O&M), and operational governance .
  • Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.
  • Solid experience with risk management, compliance, and performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with experience working at Board and senior stakeholder levels.
  • Fluent in English ; Arabic an advantage.
