Deputy General Counsel – Regulatory

General Purpose

The Deputy General Counsel – Regulatory will serve as a senior legal advisor responsible for providing legal advice and assisting on regulatory compliance and legal risk management across PACS operations. This role will be pivotal in helping facilitate adherence to federal and state healthcare laws, supporting strategic initiatives, and fostering a culture of compliance and integrity.

Essential Duties

  • Provide legal counsel and represent the company on regulatory matters including without limitation Medicare/Medicaid, HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and state-specific regulations
  • Advise executive leadership and operational teams on regulatory risks, compliance strategies, and policy development in conjunction with compliance leadership
  • Assist in monitoring and interpreting changes in healthcare law and assess operational impact
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Clinical, and Operations teams to help facilitate enterprise-wide regulatory alignment
  • Advise and assist on legal review of contracts with regulatory implications, including managed care agreements, vendor contracts, and clinical partnerships

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing
  • Minimum 10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on healthcare regulatory law
  • Ability to manage complex legal issues in a dynamic healthcare environment
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • Prior in-house counsel experience in a healthcare organization
  • Familiarity with multi-state regulatory environments and licensing requirements
  • Experience interfacing with federal and state healthcare authorities
