Role Overview

Tata Communications is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of MarTech to lead our marketing technology initiatives. This role will be pivotal in enhancing customer experience (CX) across digital touchpoints and driving performance through data-driven marketing. The ideal candidate will split their focus between email marketing (40%) and MarTech strategy & execution (60%), ensuring seamless integration of tools, platforms, and campaigns across the digital ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing (40%)

  • Lead and optimize inbound and outbound email marketing campaigns across B2B and B2C segments.
  • Supervise campaign planning, segmentation, automation, A/B testing, and performance analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Collaborate with content, design, and product teams to deliver personalized and impactful messaging.

MarTech Strategy & Execution (60%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive MarTech roadmap aligned with business goals and CX objectives.
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of platforms including CMS, CRM, CDP, DMP, marketing automation, analytics, and ad tech.
  • Drive digital experience enhancements across website, social media, and paid digital advertising.
  • Partner with IT, data, and marketing teams to ensure seamless data flow and actionable insights.
  • Evaluate and onboard new technologies to improve marketing efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Champion the use of AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics in marketing operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8–17 years of experience in digital marketing, MarTech, or marketing operations, preferably in large enterprises or tech-driven environments.
  • Proven expertise in email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, HubSpot).
  • Strong understanding of MarTech stacks, customer journey mapping, and digital CX.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), paid media platforms, and social media management tools.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a data-first approach to decision-making.
