The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Deputy Plant Manager to support the overall management of our polymer production plant. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of our manufacturing processes. You will be the right hand to the Plant Manager, providing crucial leadership and stepping up to oversee all plant activities in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People Performance & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of shift supervisors, operators, and technicians. Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability and excellence.
  • Performance Assessment: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Act as a key liaison between production, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and HSE departments. Ensure seamless communication and coordination to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Team Building & Communication: Champion a positive and collaborative work environment. Facilitate clear and effective communication across all levels of the plant organization, from the shop floor to senior management.
  • Compliance & Safety: Uphold the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), ensuring strict adherence to all company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A higher degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in a production or operations management role within a continuous process manufacturing environment. Experience in production within a chemical manufacturer is a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record in plant operations leadership and driving operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in people performance assessment, coaching, and team development.
  • Strong skills as a cross-functional liaison with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional communication & team building capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive, tax-free salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • The opportunity to work in a world-class manufacturing facility within a strategic economic zone.
  • A pivotal leadership role with significant impact and visibility.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities within a global organization.
  • A collaborative and supportive work culture that values innovation and safety.
