Job Description (JD): Deputy Head – Credit Risk
Salary: 800K
Role Summary:
Deputy Head – Credit Risk will support the Head of Credit Risk in managing the bank’s credit risk framework, ensuring sound credit evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves analyzing credit proposals, managing portfolio risk, and strengthening risk governance practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Graduate degree
- Preferably MBA in Banking, Finance, Actuarial Science, or Environmental Sciences from a recognized university
Experience:
- Preferably 3 to 5 years of experience in Risk Management Division of a bank or financial institution
- Exposure to credit analysis, portfolio management, or risk analytics preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in development and implementation of Credit Risk policies, frameworks, and procedures
- Evaluate and assess credit proposals for corporate, SME, and retail portfolios
- Monitor overall credit portfolio quality and identify emerging risks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal credit standards
- Conduct risk grading, credit scoring, and stress testing of portfolios
- Support in setting credit limits and exposure controls
- Prepare periodic credit risk reports for senior management and board committees
- Coordinate with business units to ensure balanced risk-reward decisions
- Assist in early warning signal (EWS) identification and recovery strategy planning
- Contribute to Basel/IFRS 9 related risk assessment and reporting activities
- Guide and mentor junior risk officers in the department
Pay: Rs700,000.00 - Rs800,000.00 per hour
