About the role

To support the HSE Manager in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems for the ACWA Rumah Project, ensuring full compliance with ACWA Power standards, client requirements, local regulations, and international best practices.

Duties and responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and enforcing the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Oversee daily site HSE operations, ensuring safe execution of construction, installation, commissioning, and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate and monitor compliance with ACWA Power HSE policies, Saudi regulations, and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Lead site HSE meetings, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and campaigns.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments; track corrective and preventive actions.
• Support incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition investigations; prepare reports and root cause analyses.
• Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure alignment with project HSE requirements.
• Review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments (MSRA), and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to embed HSE into daily activities.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, statistics, and reports for internal and client submission.
• Support emergency response planning, drills, and site preparedness activities.
• Act as HSE Manager delegate in their absence.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale power, renewable energy, or EPC projects.
• Strong experience in IPP / IWPP / CCGT / renewable power plant construction projects is highly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Saudi Arabia HSE regulations and international HSE standards.
• Proven experience supervising HSE teams and managing subcontractor HSE compliance.
