Deputy Manager Accounts & Audit

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Deputy Manager – Audit & Accounts , based at our Alipur Office. The Deputy Manager will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, internal audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and books of accounts.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of accounting systems and controls.
  • Monitor and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and cash flow analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with taxation laws, corporate regulations, and statutory audit requirements.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
  • Perform analytical reviews, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control, particularly for construction and housing projects.
  • Plan and execute ERP system implementation, including requirement gathering, chart of accounts mapping, data migration, user coordination, and post-implementation support.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of historical financial data, including verification of opening balances, project-wise costs, receivables, and payables.

Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA / ACCA / ICMA preferred).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in audit and accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and taxation laws.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting and cost control.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/ERP software.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in the real estate or housing society sector will be an advantage.
