Job Title: Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Fabric Sourcing (Greige)

Department: Fabric Procurement / Sourcing

Reports to: Manager / Senior Manager – Fabric Sourcing

Job Purpose

To manage and execute the sourcing of greige (unfinished) fabrics from local and international suppliers, ensuring cost effectiveness, quality compliance, and timely delivery as per production and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Have strong command on greige fabrics, including types, weaving, and technical specifications.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable greige fabric suppliers (local & international).
• Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure stability of sourcing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and lead times to optimize sourcing costs.
• Ensure greige fabrics meet company’s quality standards and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with planning, procurement, and production teams to align fabric sourcing with demand.
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative sourcing options.
• Maintain sourcing records, supplier databases, and performance evaluations.
• Assist in risk management by ensuring alternate sourcing strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing (preferably greige).
