About the role

Step into a dynamic environment where creativity, collaboration, and innovation drive meaningful engagement across Deloitte’s US-India network. As a deputy manager in business communications, you will serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to senior stakeholders, architecting high-impact communication strategies and guiding teams through complex, visible initiatives. You will shape the brand, mentor talent, and deliver results that support our people, culture, and business priorities.


The work you’ll do

  • Serve as a strategic advisor for key stakeholders, delivering innovative communication solutions for complex projects.
  • Lead the design and execution of strategic, multi-channel engagement campaigns.
  • Oversee campaigns, delegate, prioritize, and ensure timely quality deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Make independent, high-impact decisions and provide direction on ambiguous or complex issues.
  • Guide and mentor team members to achieve quality and efficiency goals.
  • Advise on compliance, branding, and operational matters for local office events and client visits.
Collaborate with management to drive innovation and execute visible, strategic assignments.

    Qualifications required

    • Graduate/Postgraduate in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising, English, or a related field.
    • 8–10 years in communication roles, with significant experience leading complex, strategic campaigns in large organizations. Proven experience in people management and global exposure is required.
    • Advanced written and verbal communication; confident, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset.
    • Intermediate MS Office skills required; familiarity with creative software, digital channels, and social media publishing is a plus.
    • Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style or AP Stylebook is desirable.
    • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments with quick turnarounds and maintain a high standard of quality. Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity with appropriate guidance.

    USI Communications is a team of professionals who specialize in internal & external communications and Communication Technology. The team reinforces the culture and brand of Deloitte internally and monitors our external reputation – intervening where necessary. They also play the role of a strategic and trusted business advisor for leaders and ensure that professionals are equipped with the right information in a timely manner to excel at work and enjoy well-being. Other priorities include creating an open and transparent environment for leadership communication and leveraging internal channels creatively, effectively disseminating information and measuring the impact of communications.
