Deputy Manager - Design

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and implementation of utility-scale and rooftop solar projects within our Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) division. This role will involve creating system layouts, selecting components, preparing designs, cost estimates, and technical documentation, while ensuring strict adherence to industry standards. You will also mentor a team and collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and internal departments to drive optimal design and project outcomes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and power evacuation system analysis. Perform solar resource assessment, generation estimation, and shadow analysis. Lead plant layout design, ensuring optimal DC/AC system, inverter, transformer selection, cable sizing, and substation design. Prepare DPR, BoM, costing sheets, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with IEC, BIS, and IS standards, and conduct site/factory acceptance testing. Supervise and guide the Design & Engineering team for effective project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Solar EPC or Consultancy, handling 10 MWp ground-mounted and 1 MWp rooftop projects independently. Proficiency in PV simulation tools, AutoCAD (2D/3D), Google Sketch, and MS Office. Strong understanding of electrical safety norms, plant layout, equipment layout, cable sizing, and technical documentation.

Other Requirements:
Knowledge of Autocad 2D / Sketchup
