Role Purpose:-
The Deputy Manager – HR is responsible for supporting and managing end-to-end HR operations at the manufacturing plant, ensuring statutory compliance, manpower planning, employee relations, performance management, and HR process improvement aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manpower Planning & Recruitment
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for production, quality, maintenance, and support functions.
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment for junior, middle, and senior levels.
- Liaise with consultants, ITIs, diploma colleges, and local manpower sources.
- Conduct interviews, finalize selections, and issue appointment letters.
2. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws (Factories Act, PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, CLRA, Wages Act, etc.).
- Handle inspections and audits by labor authorities and government bodies.
- Maintain statutory registers, returns, and records.
- Coordinate with external compliance consultants if required.
3. Payroll & Compensation Administration
- Oversee monthly payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
- Validate attendance, overtime, leave, incentives, and deductions.
- Manage CTC structures, wage revisions, and statutory contributions.
- Address payroll-related employee queries and discrepancies.
4. Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement
- Maintain healthy industrial relations at the plant.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and domestic inquiries.
- Support negotiations with unions or worker representatives, if applicable.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, welfare activities, and communication programs.
5. Performance Management & Training
- Support implementation of PMS/KRA/KPI systems.
- Identify training needs based on skill gaps and performance reviews.
- Coordinate technical, safety, and behavioral training programs.
- Maintain training records and effectiveness evaluation.
6. HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee joining, induction, confirmation, transfer, and exit processes.
- Maintain employee records, HRMIS, and documentation.
- Monitor attendance systems, shift rosters, and leave management.
- Coordinate canteen, transport, security, and housekeeping services.
7. Safety, Health & Environment (HR Support)
- Coordinate HR support for EHS initiatives and safety training.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and factory discipline.
- Support accident reporting and statutory safety documentation.
8. Policy Implementation & HR Improvement
- Implement HR policies, SOPs, and company rules effectively.
- Support HR audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist management in change management and organizational development activities.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering industry
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle workforce at shop-floor level
- Payroll and HRMS knowledge
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
Qualification & Experience
- Education: MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR or Personnel Management
- Experience: 6–10 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or heavy engineering industry

Pay: ₹550,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
