Job Purpose:

· The Deputy Manager / Manager – Internal Audit will be responsible for managing all pre-audit activities, including preliminary validation, data verification, and documentation reviews. The role involves identifying and reporting gaps or control weaknesses, ensuring timely resolution of audit queries, and coordinating audit readiness across business functions.

This position will also oversee the audit team based in Pakistan, ensuring quality deliverables and seamless coordination with the Dubai Internal Audit team. The Deputy Manager will act as the sole point of contact (SPOC) for the Dubai-based Audit Manager and will directly report to them.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pre-audit review activities, including document completeness, initial validations, and policy checks.
  • Prepare and present pre-audit reports with observations, risk indicators, and potential non-compliance areas.
  • Identify gaps in process controls and recommend preventive or corrective actions in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate resolution of audit queries raised by the internal audit team or external auditors.
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all audit coordination between the offshore team and Audit Manager in Dubai.
  • Supervise and monitor the daily performance of the audit team in Pakistan, ensuring alignment with department goals.
  • Maintain a centralized database of audit documentation, working papers, trackers, and responses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, operations, sales) to gather relevant data and provide audit-ready files.
  • Support the development, updating, and implementation of internal control checklists and SOPs.
  • Ensure audit tasks are performed in line with the Internal Audit Charter and approved audit methodologies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CA Inter, ACCA, or CIA qualification preferred, with mandatory completion of 3.5 years of Articles, preferably in Internal Audit or Advisory.

  • Certifications:

Currently pursuing or planning to pursue certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA is a plus.

  • Experience:

5–6 years of relevant audit or risk management experience, preferably in a regional or offshore setting.

· Technical Skills:

§ Strong understanding of internal audit procedures, risk-based audit approaches, and control frameworks.

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and audit/ERP systems

· Soft Skills:

§ Prior experience in managing offshore teams or cross-location coordination is preferred.

§ Strong analytical and investigative skills

§ Ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment

§ Strong leadership and team management skills

§ High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

§ Professional integrity and confidentiality

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timeliness and quality of pre-audit reports submitted
  • Number of gaps identified and resolved before formal audit
  • Average turnaround time for resolving audit queries
  • Offshore team productivity and audit task completion rate
  • Accuracy and completeness of documentation provided to Dubai Audit Team
  • Number of recurring audit issues avoided through pre-audit checks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs250,000.00 per month
