Deputy Manager – Internal Audit (Textile Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct operational, financial, and inventory audits across textile manufacturing operations including spinning, weaving, dyeing, processing, stitching, warehousing, and procurement functions.
  • Review and evaluate internal controls related to raw material consumption, yarn/fabric inventory, production processes, stores, spare parts, procurement, payroll, and overtime.
  • Verify stock counts and ensure timely inventory reconciliation across departments.
  • Analyze production variances, wastage, and efficiency reports to identify operational gaps.
  • Identify fraud risks, process leakages, control weaknesses, and non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company SOPs, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct surprise audits of inventory, cash, and operational activities.
  • Review procurement transactions and vendor payments for accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
  • Evaluate ERP controls and monitor system-based transactions.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, risks, and recommendations.
  • Follow up on corrective actions and implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Coordinate with factory management and departmental heads during audit assignments.
  • Support investigations related to theft, pilferage, manipulation, or policy violations.
  • Assist in annual risk assessment and audit planning activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • CA Inter / ACCA / CMA / CIA preferred.
  • 6–8 years of relevant internal audit experience, preferably within textile manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory controls, and operational audits.
  • Hands-on experience in auditing spinning, weaving, processing, stitching, warehousing, and procurement functions.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, internal controls, and risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle factory audits and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • Master's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Internal Audit preferably within textile manufacturing : 6 years (Preferred)
