Deputy Manager Laboratory

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of coal, ash, water, and other plant-related materials.
• Manage and oversee water quality testing, including raw water, boiler feed water, cooling water, and effluent discharge analysis.
• Supervise and manage coal analysis processes, including sampling, proximate/ultimate analysis, calorific value determination, ash fusion, and moisture content tests.
• Monitor supplier coal quality compliance and provide actionable feedback to procurement and operations teams.
• Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory quality control procedures in line with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure calibration, and troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain inventory of chemicals.

Qualification & Experience:

• BSc Chemical/Chemistry (Master degree Preferred)
• Experience: (8-10) years Coal based Power Plant.
