Job Title: Deputy Manager Maintenance

Qualification: BE / BSc in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Food, FMCG, or Industrial Bakery environments.
Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability management of bakery and industrial production equipment, including mixers, ovens, packaging machinery, conveyors, HVAC systems, boilers, compressors, and refrigeration utilities.
- Sound knowledge of preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of spare parts planning, inventory control, and maintenance budgeting.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, food safety standards, and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Ability to analyze equipment performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Ability to lead maintenance operations while ensuring maximum equipment reliability and minimum production downtime.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise day-to-day maintenance operations of production lines, utilities, and facility equipment.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability and reliability through effective maintenance planning and execution.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and production interruptions.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Monitor and improve the performance of utility systems, including HVAC, boilers, compressors, refrigeration units, generators, and electrical distribution systems.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, food safety standards, occupational safety requirements, and LOTO procedures.
- Manage maintenance records, equipment history, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support uninterrupted plant operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Analyze maintenance KPIs, downtime trends, and equipment reliability data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in maintenance budgeting, cost control, vendor management, and procurement of spare parts and services.
- Support installation, commissioning, and improvement projects related to plant equipment and utilities.
- Ensure effective resource utilization and adherence to maintenance schedules.
- Perform any other task assigned by the Plant Manager or Head of Engineering.
