JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Deputy Manager-Planning & Buyer

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

Role Type: Individual Contributor

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities

Quality & Collaboration

Collaborate with internal teams, such as production, planning, and quality control, to ensure seamless supply chain processes.
Analyse supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Compliance & Safety

Adhere to all regulatory requirements related to importing goods, including customs and other trade compliance regulations.
Ensure the smooth and timely flow of imported goods from supplier to destination.

Reports / MIS

Demonstrate proficiency in office automation tools such as spreadsheets, graphs, and PowerBI.
Utilize SAP for efficient supply chain management.

Delivery

Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time receipt of components and materials.
Provide regular updates on orders and supply chain operations to stakeholders across the organization.
Monitor delivery schedules to meet urgent customer requirements, managing any potential delays or issues.

Cost

Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
Maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and other service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective import operations.
Optimize various aspects of supply chain management, including inventory management, demand forecasting, transportation, procurement, and supplier management.

Exhibit strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
Demonstrate the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
Drive continuous improvement in the supply chain process.

Ensure timely receipt of components to meet customer demands while optimizing freight costs and delivery efficiency.
