Deputy Manager Production - CE Factory

The Deputy Manager Production will be responsible for managing and monitoring the complete production process of refrigerators in line with the approved production plan. This role involves overseeing material requirements, quality standards, manpower efficiency, and cost optimization while ensuring adherence to company policies, safety standards, and productivity goals. The incumbent will play a key role in continuous process improvement, performance monitoring, and reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor refrigerator production activities according to the approved production plan.
• Oversee daily production reporting and ensure timely issuance and accuracy of reports.
• Coordinate with the stores department to ensure timely availability of materials across cost centres.
• Monitor and maintain quality standards at all stages of production.
• Track rework and rejection levels, ensuring they remain within agreed limits and continuously plan for reduction.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve operational efficiency and overall production output. Recommend and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality standards. Ensure all finished products meet the required specifications and quality benchmarks.
• Evaluate and review workforce performance to enhance productivity and compliance.
• Implement company policies, safety procedures, and operational goals on the shop floor.
• Prepare and share regular production activity reports with senior management.
• Assist in preparing the annual manufacturing budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure smooth and safe plant operations.
• Schedule periodic equipment maintenance and inspections to ensure continuous operation and compliance.
• Ensure overall adherence to company safety, quality, and operational standards within the production area.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (B.E.) from a recognized institution.
• 8–10 years of experience in production management, preferably in the home appliances or manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of production planning, process optimization, and manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and production reporting tools.
• Commitment to safety, quality control, and operational excellence.
