Deputy Manager – Training & Development (Restaurants)

Job Location: Gulberg III, Lahore – Pakistan

Key Responsibilities:

Training Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall Training & Development strategy for FOH and BOH teams. Establish role-wise training frameworks, skill matrices, and progression pathways & ensure all training aligns with brand standards, culture, and operational goals.

Program Development & Facilitation:

  • Design, update, and deliver training programs, SOPs, and learning modules. Oversee onboarding, and certification processes for all new hires. Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge retention and performance improvement and lead classroom, on-the-job, and digital training sessions as needed.

Training Needs Analysis & Planning:

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify capability gaps and development priorities. Create detailed weekly, monthly and annual training calendars, ensuring structured and timely training for all roles and collaborate with restaurant management to address skill gaps and performance issues through targeted training plans.

Digital Learning & Documentation:

  • Manage digital training platforms, ensuring all materials, videos, tests, and assessments are current and accessible. Oversee digital record keeping, including attendance, completion logs, certification tracking, and performance reports and implement and monitor testing systems (quizzes, evaluations, practical tests) to assess effectiveness.

Quality, Feedback & Continuous Improvement:

  • Collect and analyze feedback from trainees, trainers, and management to improve training methodologies. Monitor training effectiveness using KPIs and operational performance indicators & ensure consistent adherence to brands service standards across all locations.

New Product Launch & International Coordination:

  • Oversee new product launch training programs and ensure teams are prepared for successful rollouts & coordinate with the international team as needed to align training, standards, and processes.

Succession Planning & HR Coordination:

  • Support succession planning initiatives in coordination with the HR department and identify high-potential employees and assist in developing structured growth and training plans for future leadership roles.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Training & Development within the QSR or full-service restaurant industry.
  • Minimum graduation required. Candidates with additional certifications in hospitality or a bachelor’s degree in HRM will be given preference.
  • Expertise in TNA, digital learning systems, and structured training documentation.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple training initiatives independently.
