What to Expect with this role:
This position is for the
Deputy Program Manager (DPM) for Abrams production programs (FMS/Domestic). reporting to the Program Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily program activities, and ensuring the development, production, delivery and sustainment of vehicle systems all while working in a fast paced, complex, ever changing environment.
Responsibilities-
Partner with the Program Manager to oversee daily program execution, including production schedules, engineering milestones, and testing phases for combat vehicle systems.

Track and report earned value metrics (e.g., CPI, SPI) to monitor program performance, ensuring cost, schedule, risk and scope alignment with contractual requirements.

Coordinate cross-functional teams—i.e. engineering, trade compliance, finance, manufacturing, SCM and quality assurance—to meet DoD deadlines and specifications.

Manage resource allocation, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to maintain program momentum and compliance with Secret-level security protocols.

Prepare detailed status reports and briefings for internal leadership and government stakeholders, including EVMS (Earned Value Management System) data.

Lead daily stand-ups, resolving operational bottlenecks, and representing the program in their absence.

Ensure adherence to ITAR, FAR/DFARS regulations, and company security policies for classified materials and processes.

Support contract negotiations, change orders, and program reviews with DoD clients or prime contractors.
Qualifications-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
-
5+ years of program management experience in defense manufacturing, ideally with combat vehicle systems.

Demonstrated expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) and EVMS tools (e.g., EVCore, MS Project).
-
Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, MIL-STD compliance, and combat vehicle production lifecycles.

Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership or government officials.

PMP certification or equivalent strongly preferred.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
