Job Title: Deputy Project Director

Reporting To: Project Director / Managing Director
Job Purpose:
The Deputy Project Director supports the Project Director in overseeing all phases of project execution, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, coordinating between departments, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Director in planning, organizing, and managing all aspects of project execution.
- Supervise project managers, engineers, and discipline leads to ensure smooth coordination and performance.
- Review project schedules, progress reports, and cost control measures to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
- Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions in consultation with the Project Director.
- Support in stakeholder communication, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Participate in progress meetings, preparing presentations and updates for senior management and clients.
- Oversee project quality assurance and safety compliance.
- Manage procurement planning, resource allocation, and manpower mobilization.
- Ensure documentation, change orders, and claims are properly reviewed and submitted.
- Drive project performance and efficiency through strong leadership and team motivation.
- Act as the Project Director in his/her absence and ensure continuity of project operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in project management, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Sound understanding of project planning, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proficient in MS Office, Primavera, and project management software.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
