- Conduct comprehensive skin, hair, and nail examinations.
- Diagnose dermatological conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, infections, skin cancers, and allergic reactions.
- Evaluate patient medical histories to identify underlying causes and risk factors.
Treatment Planning
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using medications, therapies, or procedures.
- Prescribe topical, oral, or injectable medications as appropriate.
- Recommend preventive care and lifestyle modifications to support long-term skin health.
Medical & Surgical Procedures
- Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, laser treatments, and chemical peels.
- Ensure all procedures are conducted safely and under sterile conditions.
Cosmetic Dermatology (if applicable)
- Administer aesthetic treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, laser resurfacing, and microneedling.
- Provide expert advice on skincare routines and cosmetic options based on patient goals.
Patient Education & Counseling
- Educate patients about skincare, sun protection, and disease prevention.
- Clearly explain treatment options, possible side effects, and expected outcomes.
Follow-up & Record Management
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential patient records.
Collaboration & Referrals
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Refer patients to specialists such as oncologists or surgeons when indicated.
Compliance & Professional Development
- Adhere to medical laws, ethical standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in dermatology through continuing education, research, and medical conferences.
