Design and Development Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Design and Development Manager (HOD) to lead our Design & Development Department. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership ability, and a passion for driving innovation across all product lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plastic product design & development (blow + injection).
• Oversee mold design, tooling trials and product launch.
• Work directly with OEM customers for project specs and approvals.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the design and development team.
• Oversee all stages of product design — from concept to prototyping and final production.
• Ensure projects meet performance, quality, and cost objectives within defined timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including production, procurement, quality assurance, and marketing.
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and product optimization initiatives.
• Review and approve design drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Research and implement new materials, design tools, and manufacturing technologies.
• Establish departmental goals, KPIs, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Represent the department in management meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in product design and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar).
• Excellent understanding of product development cycles, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to manage teams, budgets, and complex technical projects.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Innovative mindset with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Pay: Rs230,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
