Design Assistant / Project Manager

OLIVER M. FURTH DESIGN & DECORATION is currently seeking an organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our Hollywood studio. This job is in-person and full-time:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects regarding multi-year design projects
  • Sourcing and specifying fabrics, furniture, lighting and accessories
  • Creating client proposals, purchase orders and invoices
  • Generating and managing schedules and budgets
  • Processing and tracking furniture and furnishings orders
  • Scheduling installations and coordinating all aspects of the install
  • Managing timelines and resources/vendors and information

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Superb organization and self-starting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and track projects successfully
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficiency solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Reviews project plans, managing timelines and resources/vendors and information
  • Executes and manages collateral material along with team members
  • Flexible, can-do attitude
  • Must have access to a vehicle (while at work)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years' direct experience at an Interior Design Firm
  • 3-5 years’ experience in project management -Interior Design or other project management related
  • Thoroughness: organization, time management and efficiency
  • Resourceful: creative and continually driven to improve
  • Collaborative: working style
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel necessary
  • Familiarity with Studio Designer and/or AutoCad and/or Adobe Photoshop are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
