Design Civil Engineer – Wet Utilities (Surface Water & Water Networks) - Qatar

We are seeking an experienced Design Civil Engineer (Wet Utilities) to support the design and development of surface water, stormwater drainage, sewerage, and potable water networks in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in infrastructure design and experience working on large-scale projects in compliance with local authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop wet utility systems, including:
• Stormwater drainage networks
• Surface water systems
• Foul sewer networks
• Potable water distribution networks
• Prepare and review design drawings, layouts, profiles, hydraulic calculations, and technical reports.
• Develop utility layouts, longitudinal sections, and cross sections.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis for drainage and water networks.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal standards, and international codes.
• Coordinate with roads, structures, traffic, and other disciplines.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and design reports.
• Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and authority approvals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7–15 years of experience in wet utilities/infrastructure design.
• Strong experience in stormwater, sewer, and water network design.
• Familiarity with Ashghal guidelines, QCS, and Qatar authority requirements.
• Proficiency in:
• Civil 3D
• AutoCAD
• MicroDrainage / InfoWorks / SewerGEMS / WaterGEMS (or similar)
• Strong understanding of hydraulic design principles.
• UPDA/MMUP certification is an advantage.
