Design Consultant

Do you have a Flair for Interior Design?

Normal working hours are 8 to 4 M-F & rotating 8 - 12 on Saturday mornings.

JOB SUMMARY: This position will join the sales team in assisting customers in our showrooms. The duties include creating selection sheets with drawings for customers, place customer orders, conduct face to face meetings, provide interior design and project advice and assistance to customers, create invoices, process payments, contact vendors for reorders, answer phones, and maintain the showroom in a high state of appearance.

Position requirements:

• Friendly, neat, outgoing, cheerful, professional
• Great verbal communication, with a clear understanding when speaking
• Experience with or interest in interior design consultation
• Showroom sales & knowledge of building industry a plus
• Ability to visualize projects, coordinate color schemes, and guide customers in the interior design process for rooms and projects
• Ability to communicate effectively with any and all business associates
• Good math, organizational, communication, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills
• Expert customer service skills
