Sales & Design Consultant

Park City Blind & Design

About Us

Park City Blind & Design is a premier provider of custom window coverings and design solutions, specializing in high-end residential and custom home projects. We partner with homeowners, interior designers, and builders to create beautiful, cohesive spaces that blend function and elevated design.

We are seeking an experienced Design Consultant with a strong background in in-home consultations and client engagement. This individual should be confident guiding clients through the purchasing process — including product and fabric selection, functional solutions, and overall aesthetic direction — while driving strong results.

The ideal candidate can manage the full client experience, from consultations and precise measurements to preparing quotes and closing projects. Experience in the window covering industry is preferred but not required.

Position Overview

This is a design-forward role.

You will serve as both a trusted design advisor and project leader — consulting on window treatments, textiles, materials, color palettes, and finish selections. You will work closely with homeowners and trade professionals to ensure every solution enhances the overall interior vision of the home.

The ideal candidate has a refined design eye, understands how fabrics and materials interact within a space, and can translate that expertise into confident recommendations and successful sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in-home design consultations
  • Recommend window coverings, fabrics, textures, trims, and finishes that align with the client’s design vision.
  • Collaborate closely with interior designers and custom home builders as a design partner
  • Create cohesive, well-thought-out design solutions that enhance the full interior space.
  • Measure, quote, specify, and order products accurately.
  • Manage projects from concept through installation to ensure flawless execution.
  • Stay current on interior design trends, textiles, motorization, and luxury home innovations.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and manage multiple high-end projects simultaneously.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales and margin goals.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory 2+ years of experience in interior design, window coverings, textiles, home furnishings, or a related design-driven industry.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Fabric types and performance characteristics
  • Color theory and layering
  • Space planning principles
  • Luxury residential environments
  • Proven ability to guide clients confidently through aesthetic decisions.
  • Demonstrated sales success and comfort asking for the close.
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects.
  • Proficiency with design software, CRM systems, or quoting tools is a plus.

Interior Design degree or formal training is a strong plus.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Someone comfortable discussing textiles, drapery fullness, hardware finishes, and layering strategies.
  • Someone who enjoys working with designers and builders at a professional level.
  • Someone who wants to build a reputation as a trusted design expert in Southern Utah.

If This Sounds Like You…

If you are passionate about interior design, fabrics, and creating refined, functional spaces — and you also enjoy building relationships and driving results — we would love to meet you.
