Design Consultant

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Design Consultant to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about interior design, and high-end sales, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service. The Design Consultant will play a vital role in guiding clients through the selection and customization of products, providing expert advice on lighting, and layout design. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure client satisfaction and drive sales growth.

Duties

• Engage with customers in retail or showroom settings to understand their design needs and preferences.
• Provide expert consultation on interior design, lighting solutions, layout planning.
• Assist clients with product demos, merchandising displays, and product selections to enhance their shopping experience.
• Conduct inside and outside sales activities, including upselling high-end products and managing account relationships.
• Negotiate pricing and terms to close sales effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Manage POS transactions, cash handling, and retail math calculations accurately.
• Maintain organized records of client interactions, sales data, and project details for ongoing account management.
• Support store merchandising efforts by stocking products and ensuring displays are attractive and well-organized.
• Collaborate with the team on remodeling projects, maintenance coordination, and general store operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in outside sales, inside sales, or retail sales environments.
• Strong knowledge of interior design concepts, layout design, lighting design.
• Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Ability to upsell products such as lighting fixtures or remodeling services confidently while maintaining customer trust.
• Organizational skills necessary to manage multiple client accounts and project details efficiently.
• Experience with product demos, merchandising, marketing strategies, and account management preferred.
