1. Job Purpose:
The
Design Coordinator
is a core support and coordination role within the design studio, responsible for ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment of design outputs across all interior design projects.
Working closely with the Design Director, Head of Design, Design Managers, and the wider design team, the role focuses on coordinating design intent, finishes, specifications, material selections, and standards to ensure that all design deliverables meet EVA Interiors’ quality benchmarks and project requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Design Coordination

Coordinate day-to-day design-related activities between designers, managers, and internal stakeholders.

Support the Design Manager in tracking design deliverables, submissions, and internal reviews.

Ensure timely circulation of design information, updates, and approvals.

Act as a point of coordination to reduce design rework, misalignment, and information gaps.
B. Design Standards & Quality Control

Ensure all design outputs align with approved design intent, brand guidelines, and EVA Interiors’ standards.

Conduct structured checks on design packages to confirm consistency in:

Finishes and material selections

Specifications and legends
-
Design narratives and schedules
-
Flag inconsistencies, omissions, or quality risks before internal or client submission.
C. Materials, Finishes & Specifications Coordination

Coordinate and maintain material and finishes schedules in line with approved design concepts.

Support designers in managing material references, specifications, and sample tracking.

Ensure accurate coordination between design intent and FF&E or technical inputs where required.

Maintain organized libraries for finishes, materials, and references.
D. Documentation & Design Control

Maintain structured and up-to-date design documentation folders with clear version control.
-
Track revisions, approvals, and design changes to ensure clarity and traceability.

Support the preparation of design presentations, mood boards, and documentation packs.

Ensure correct naming conventions, templates, and formatting are consistently applied.
E. Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate with FF&E, Technical, QS, and Project teams to ensure design intent is clearly communicated and understood.

Support design clarification processes during project execution stages.

Assist in resolving design-related coordination issues by facilitating structured communication.
F. SOP Compliance & Continuous Improvement

Ensure all design coordination activities follow approved SOPs and workflows.

Support implementation and usage of standard templates, checklists, and design controls.

Contribute to process improvement by identifying coordination gaps or recurring issues.

5. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or a related discipline

3–6 years
of experience in interior design studios or consultancy environments

Experience supporting luxury residential or commercial interior projects preferred
