Design Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate interior design activities across all project stages, ensuring alignment with approved design intent and project requirements
• Act as the main coordination point between the Technical team, consultants (Architectural, MEP, Structural), site teams, and other stakeholders
• Manage and monitor ID deliverables, schedules, and milestones to meet project timelines
• Review ID drawings and documents for completeness, coordination, and compliance prior to submission
• Ensure coordination of ID drawings with architectural, structural, and MEP services to avoid clashes
• Coordinate preparation, submission, and approval tracking of ID shop drawings and material submittals
• Manage resubmission of rejected or pending shop drawings within contractual timeframes
• Coordinate with the Materials Team on material submissions, samples, mock-ups, and approvals
• Track and manage design changes, RFIs, and revisions, ensuring timely communication to all parties
• Respond to site RFIs and provide design clarifications during construction
• Attend design coordination, consultant, client, and site meetings as required
• Maintain drawing registers, RFI logs, revision trackers, and overall document control
• Review, coordinate, and release in-house and subcontractor production drawings as per site priorities
• Support quality control by identifying design risks, constructability issues, and coordination gaps
• Assist the Design Manager/Head in reporting design progress and key issues
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, consultants, clients, and site staff

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Strong coordination and organizational skills
• Good understanding of interior design documentation and construction processes
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and design coordination tools (Revit knowledge is an advantage)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED6,500.00 per month
