The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all production-related aspects of events, including technical setup, staging, audiovisuals, logistics, manpower, and on-site execution. The role ensures events are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Event Planning
- Review event briefs, drawings, and production requirements with the sales and design teams
- Prepare production plans, timelines, manpower schedules, and technical layouts
- Coordinate AV, staging, lighting, truss, power, rigging, branding, and fabrication requirements
- Conduct site visits, feasibility checks, and risk assessments
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for equipment and services
- Assist in production costing and budget control
Event Execution
- Supervise loading, setup, rehearsals, show operations, and dismantling
- Manage production crew, technicians, freelancers, and drivers on-site
- Ensure adherence to event timelines, safety standards, and venue regulations
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during the event
- Act as the main production point of contact on-site
Post-Event Responsibilities
- Oversee safe dismantling and return of equipment
- Report damages, losses, or technical issues
- Submit post-event reports, feedback, and cost analysis
- Evaluate vendor and crew performance
Team & Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Design, Logistics, and Accounts teams
- Ensure production team follows internal communication and approval protocols
- Maintain discipline, professional conduct, and workflow efficiency within the production team
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with venue rules, municipality regulations, and HSE standards
- Enforce safe working practices and use of PPE
- Ensure all technical setups meet safety and legal requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Event Management, Production, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in event production or technical operations
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, staging, lighting, and event logistics
- Ability to manage multiple events under tight deadlines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office; basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage
- UAE driving license is a plus
