Design Development Section Head "Consultancy Background"

As a Design Development Section Head – Architecture at Al Marasem Group, you will be responsible for developing and refining architectural design solutions across different project phases. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure that design concepts are translated into accurate, innovative, and high-quality deliverables that meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design Development & Detailing:

• Develop and refine architectural design concepts in alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
• Translate design ideas into detailed drawings, models, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and programming exercises to inform design decisions.

Coordination & Collaboration:

• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to integrate technical requirements into architectural designs.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and workshops to resolve conflicts and optimize solutions.
• Review consultants’ and contractors’ submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.

Documentation & Deliverables:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Develop 3D models, renderings, and visual presentations to communicate design intent to stakeholders.
• Ensure all design outputs are accurate, consistent, and compliant with codes and regulations.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices in architectural engineering.
• Proactively identify opportunities for design innovation and process optimization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal design standards and workflows.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
• 10 - 13 years of experience in architectural design and development for large-scale construction projects (Commercial, Hotels, Residential, Administrative).
• Consultancy background is a must
• Strong proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
• Experience in producing 3D visualizations and marketing materials (AutoCAD, 3D Max, Photoshop).
• Excellent design sensibility, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of architectural codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within budget and deadlines.
