Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Design who will be responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary design teams, overseeing projects from conception to completion, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and quality standards. The Director of Design will be responsible for driving creativity, fostering collaboration, and delivering outstanding design solutions that exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary design teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
• Oversee projects from conception to handing over, managing budgets, timelines, quality, and risks effectively.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal frameworks, coordinating with authorities as necessary to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Lead creative sessions for project kick-offs, working closely with project teams to understand client needs, pitch designs, and develop innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes, methodologies, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the market.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote our expertise and capabilities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of design innovation.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably in architecture or civil/structural engineering. Master's degree and advanced professional certifications are preferred.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in consultancy firms, with at least 5 years in a management role leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proven track record of success in overseeing projects from conception to completion, with a strong focus on budget management, timeline adherence, and quality control.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks, with experience coordinating with authorities to obtain approvals and permits.
• Previous experience serving as a Design Director in consultancy firms is preferred.
