Role Overview

The Design Engineer will play a key role in developing engineering designs, technical documentation, and layouts for renewable energy projects. The role will also actively support the Execution & Operations team in procurement, site supervision, project management, and commissioning to ensure seamless delivery of projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop detailed engineering designs, electrical layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for renewable energy projects.

2. Perform load flow analysis, system sizing, energy yield assessment, and performance simulations.

3. Prepare detailed BOQs, technical specifications, and project cost estimates.

4. Provide engineering inputs during tendering, proposals, and client presentations.

5. Review vendor/contractor designs, technical submissions, shop drawings, and material specifications.

6. Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys, providing technical reports and recommendations.

7. Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for execution.

8. Coordinate with procurement teams for technical evaluations of equipment, components, and suppliers.

9. Support project execution through site visits, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning.

10. Troubleshoot system issues during installation and operations, ensuring timely resolution.

11. Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with international standards, codes, and HSE requirements.

12. Maintain as-built drawings, design documentation, and technical records for project handover.

13. Provide training and technical support to O&M teams and client representatives.

14. Identify opportunities for design optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement in projects.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related field.

2. 2–3 years in renewable energy design and execution.

3. Proficiency in designing software(s).

4. Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, energy storage, and hybrid integration.

5. Ability to interpret and prepare technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.

6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.

7. Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to liaise with cross-functional teams.

8. Flexibility to travel to project sites when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
