Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end design projects from concept to production.

• Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.

• Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T, and BOM creation.

• Conduct DFMEA, DFA/DFM reviews, and support prototyping and testing.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design

Feasibility and cost optimization.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers in design best practices and CAD methodologies.

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.

• Manage engineering change requests (ECR/ECN) and documentation.

• Work with vendors and customers for design reviews, approvals, and technical clarifications.

• Continuously drive innovation, efficiency, and process improvements in product design.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in design engineering with SolidWorks (mandatory).

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes

(sheet metal, machining, plastics, casting, etc.).

• Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, PDM/PLM systems.

• Experience in product lifecycle management, prototyping, and validation testing.

• Good understanding of CAE tools (FEA/CFD) is an added advantage.

• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
