Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end design projects from concept to production.
- Create and manage 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
- Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T, and BOM creation.
- Conduct DFMEA, DFA/DFM reviews, and support prototyping and testing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design
Feasibility and cost optimization.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in design best practices and CAD methodologies.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Manage engineering change requests (ECR/ECN) and documentation.
- Work with vendors and customers for design reviews, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Continuously drive innovation, efficiency, and process improvements in product design.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in design engineering with SolidWorks (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
(sheet metal, machining, plastics, casting, etc.).
- Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stack-up, PDM/PLM systems.
- Experience in product lifecycle management, prototyping, and validation testing.
- Good understanding of CAE tools (FEA/CFD) is an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
