Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Fixture Design & Development:
• Design machining, assembly, and inspection fixtures as per component drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo).
• Select suitable materials, clamps, locators, and standard components for fixture fabrication.
• Technical Analysis:
• Perform tolerance stack-up and interference checks.
• Ensure fixture designs meet precision, rigidity, and safety requirements.
• Optimize fixture design for ease of operation, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation & Drawings:
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for production.
• Maintain design files, revision records, and technical documentation.
• Coordination & Implementation:
• Collaborate with production, quality, and tool room teams for fixture trials and validation.
• Support fixture assembly, installation, and troubleshooting during shop floor implementation.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Study existing fixtures and suggest design improvements for performance, ergonomics, and cost reduction.
• Stay updated with new fixture technologies and design standards.
