Job Description : The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and validating product designs to meet technical, functional, and quality requirements. The role involves 3D modeling, drafting, engineering calculations, and collaboration with cross-functional teams for successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
•Perform design calculations, material selection, and engineering analysis
•Create BOMs, GA drawings, part drawings, and manufacturing documents
•Support product development, cost optimization, and design improvements
•Ensure designs comply with industry standards and client specifications
•Review and interpret project requirements, datasheets, and technical documents
•Coordinate with production, QA, and purchase teams for smooth execution
•Assist in prototype development, testing, and validation
•Maintain revision controls and documentation accuracy
•Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
•Obtaining strong knowledge about API standards and designing the product accordingly.
Skills & Competencies
•Strong knowledge of mechanical design concepts
•Proficiency in CAD software (mention your preferred tool)
•Understanding of manufacturing processes (Machining, Casting, Fabrication, etc.)
•Good analytical & problem-solving ability
•Knowledge of relevant standards & design codes (preferred)
•Good communication and team collaboration skills

Qualifications - B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
