Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Design Engineer who will play a key role in developing innovative and practical racking and storage solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of industrial design, material handling systems, and manufacturing processes. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, conducting load calculations, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring design feasibility and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop industrial racking, shelving, and storage systems as per client requirements.
• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D designs, layout drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
• Conduct load analysis and structural calculations for racking and shelving systems.
• Collaborate with the production, project, and sales teams to ensure designs meet functional and cost requirements.
• Modify and improve existing designs for better strength, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety guidelines, and quality norms.
• Support the project execution team by providing design clarifications and technical inputs.
• Prepare design documentation, revision records, and drawing approvals for clients.
• Work closely with the procurement team for material selection and optimization.
• Visit client sites when necessary for measurements, layout confirmation, or installation support.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in design, preferably in racking, shelving, or fabricated structures.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks (or similar 3D design tools)
• Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and structural design
• Understanding of load-bearing calculations and material selection
• Familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player with effective communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Salary: As per industry standards and experience

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
