Design Engineer

We are looking for a Solar & Electrical Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Solar PV system design and performance modelling to support utility-scale and C&I and Residential projects.

Key Job Responsibilities – Solar PV Design Engineer

§ Lead preliminary & detailed Solar PV design, technical configuration, and optimization

§ Perform Energy yield Simulations using PVsyst or Helioscope, HOMER or SketchUp

§ Develop AutoCAD layouts, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil & Installation details (Panels, mounting structures, PV Inverter placement, cable trays, junction boxes, walkways, etc.)

§ Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), shading analysis, BOQs, and technical documentation

§ Execute LV/MV electrical design, cable sizing, panel design, and compliance with utility standards

§ Apply knowledge of ETAP settings (added advantage) and electrical protection coordination

§ Ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDQC, Etihad WE, TAQA codes, certifications & testing requirements

§ Optimize designs for competitive CAPEX & OPEX without compromising quality or standards

§ Conduct preliminary feasibility studies and technical screening of solar PV assets

§ Support site surveys and recommend best-fit solar & electrical integration solutions

§ Coordinate closely with design, execution, and construction teams for seamless project delivery

§ Drive continuous design innovation to improve constructability, O&M efficiency, and market competitiveness

Requirements:

✔Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
✔ Hands-on experience with Solar PV design Software (AutoCAD proficiency is a must)
✔ Strong understanding of solar technologies & regional regulations
