The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and leading the full design process from ideation to production. You will draw new designs and update our current designs. During the creation process, ensure that designs meet all necessary design responsibilities. create detailed technical plans, calculations, and 3D models for building projects using software like AutoCAD Civil 3D. bridge the gap between initial concepts and construction by preparing blueprints, ensuring code compliance, and coordinating with contractors for building systems (structural, MEP).
Key Responsibilities
-
Design Development:
Produce detailed construction plans, layouts, and technical drawings for structures, roadwork, and site grading.
-
Engineering Analysis:
Perform complex calculations regarding structural integrity, stormwater management, and utility systems.
-
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
-
Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met and that the design is buildable.
-
Project Documentation:
Prepare cost estimates, technical reports, and project schedules.
-
Site Inspection:
Visit construction sites to observe progress and ensure compliance with approved design plans.
-
Software Utilization:
Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) tools for modeling.
